Meet Ana: Your Guide in Avignon

Hello, I’m Ana Maria, your tour guide in the beautiful city of Avignon, France.

Originally from Costa Rica, I’ve spent over 20 years as a professional conference interpreter. Communication has always been at the heart of my work, and helping people understand each other is something I’m truly passionate about. Now, I’m channeling that passion into sharing the history and charm of my new home.

I moved to Avignon with my teenage daughter, and it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with this historic city. Known as the City of the Popes, Avignon is a place where every street, building, and square has a story to tell. From the towering Palais des Papes to the narrow cobbled alleys, it’s a city steeped in history and full of hidden gems that I love uncovering with visitors.

As a guide, my goal is to help you see Avignon through the eyes of a local—while still keeping the curiosity and wonder of a traveler. My tours are about more than just dates and facts; they are a journey through time, filled with fascinating stories, legends, and insights that will make you appreciate the city as much as I do.

Whether you’re a history buff, a lover of architecture, or simply here for the experience, I’d love to show you around Avignon.

So, come join me, and together we’ll explore the history, culture, and secrets of this enchanting city!
